Type the three-part message skeleton

Type the three-part message skeleton

Answer

Opening — the point or the ask, in one sentence. Body — the support; one topic; only the detail needed to act. Closing — the action wanted, by when, and how to respond.

Three parts in that order for a neutral or positive reader. For a resistant reader the opening gains a short buffer before the point; the body and closing do not change. A closing that raises a new topic breaks the shape.
